By accessing or using help-toolz.com ("the site"), you agree to be bound by these terms of service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, do not use the site.

The site is provided as-is

The tools, calculators, references, and content on Help Toolz are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or virus-free.

The data behind tools (USPTO fee schedules, marketplace fee structures, tipping norms, cap rate ranges, etc.) is hand-curated to the best of our knowledge but changes frequently. Always verify with the underlying authority (Etsy seller help, USPTO fee schedule, your local CRE broker, your tax accountant, etc.) before making decisions or commitments based on output from these tools.

Not professional advice

Help Toolz tools are educational. They are not legal, financial, medical, tax, regulatory, real estate, or professional advice. Examples: the patent cost estimator is not legal advice, the cap rate sanity check is not investment advice, the contract rate calculator is not tax advice, the FDA 510(k) finder is not regulatory advice.

Before making business, legal, financial, medical, or regulatory decisions, consult a qualified professional in that domain. Do not rely on output from a free browser tool as the basis for decisions of consequence.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Help Toolz and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the site, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or any other intangible losses, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising from or related to your use of the site shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the past twelve months, which for free public use of this site is zero dollars.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the site for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to interfere with the operation of the site, deny service to others, or probe for vulnerabilities beyond normal use
• Scrape the site at a rate that significantly exceeds normal browser traffic
• Mirror or republish the site's tool data as your own without attribution
• Reverse-engineer the tools to extract proprietary data structures and republish commercially

Third-party services

The site uses Google Analytics for traffic measurement and Google AdSense for advertising. Your use of the site is also subject to Google's terms and privacy policies. We do not control how Google handles data and disclaim responsibility for their behavior beyond reasonable care in deploying their scripts.

Changes to terms

Governing law

These terms are governed by general principles of contract and tort law in the jurisdiction where the operator resides. Disputes will be resolved by good-faith communication first. If that fails, courts of competent jurisdiction in the operator's residence will have exclusive jurisdiction.
