Privacy Policy

TL;DR

We do not collect personal information from you. Inputs you type into our tools (timezones, cap rates, regex patterns, etc.) stay on your device in your browser's localStorage. They are never transmitted to our servers because we do not run a database for user inputs.

We use Google Analytics to understand which tools are visited and how often. We use Google AdSense to display ads. Both Google services set cookies in your browser. You can disable both with browser-level controls or an ad blocker.

What we directly collect

Nothing. We do not run signup forms, contact forms, comment systems, newsletters, or any feature that requests your personal information. We do not have a database of user accounts.

What stays on your device

Most tools save your inputs to your browser's localStorage so you can pick up where you left off. Examples: the list of timezones you added to the world clock, the regex pattern you typed into the regex visualizer, your cap rate inputs. This data is stored on YOUR device only. It is never sent to help-toolz.com. If you clear browser data, it is gone.

Some tools encode state into the URL (so you can share a link). When you copy a URL containing parameters, you are choosing to share those parameters. We do not log those URLs server-side.

What third parties do

Google Analytics (GA4): we use Google Analytics to track aggregate page views, route navigation, and which tools are popular. Google Analytics sets cookies (typically _ga and _ga_*). Google may use this data per their own privacy policy. See https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Google AdSense: we display ads via Google AdSense. AdSense sets cookies in your browser to serve ads, including (where applicable) personalized ads based on your browsing history across sites participating in Google's ad network. You can manage personalized ads at https://www.google.com/settings/ads.

Google Tag Manager / gtag.js: the JavaScript that loads Analytics and AdSense is hosted on Google's CDN. Loading these scripts means Google sees your IP address (as it would for any third-party script).

Cookies in plain English

The cookies set on this site come from Google services, not from us:

• _ga, _ga_* — Google Analytics, anonymous traffic measurement
• __gads, __gpi — Google AdSense, ad serving and frequency capping
• IDE, NID, ANID — Google's general advertising cookies (for personalized ads)

How to opt out

You have several options:

• Use an ad blocker (uBlock Origin, AdGuard, Brave's built-in shields). The tools all work normally.
• Disable third-party cookies in your browser settings.
• Opt out of Google's personalized ads at https://www.google.com/settings/ads.
• Install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
• Browse with a tracker-blocking browser like Brave, Firefox with Strict mode, or Safari with Intelligent Tracking Prevention.

Children's privacy

These tools are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has somehow given us information (we cannot think how, but for completeness), email us at hello@help-toolz.com and we will assist.

GDPR / CCPA

If you are in the EU, UK, or California: we do not collect or process your personal data ourselves. Google Analytics and Google AdSense (operated by Google LLC) act as data processors and have their own GDPR/CCPA compliance frameworks documented at https://policies.google.com/privacy. Cookies set by Google are governed by Google's policies, not ours.

If you wish to exercise data subject rights against Google (deletion, access, opt-out of sale), please use Google's mechanisms directly. We cannot delete data that we never had.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy if we change what we collect or which third parties we use. The "last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the latest revision. Last updated: 2026-05-06.
